And when you're eating rice crispy treats te last thing you are probably thinking about is how fatty the oil is! Especially the small amount in the recipe! And yes Kellogg's does make gluten free rice crispys now! Thanks for this awesome recipe! I am avoiding dairy, eggs, soy and nuts.. This is perfect! :)Mary Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00210949280358169237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620220818900512579.post-41751204309275596312012-04-20T17:35:39.815-07:002012-04-20T17:35:39.815-07:00there is a gluten free kind of Rice Krispiesthere is a gluten free kind of Rice KrispiesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620220818900512579.post-67703132943427073372012-02-10T10:07:40.030-08:002012-02-10T10:07:40.030-08:00I got diagnosed with an EGID and am eating an alle...I got diagnosed with an EGID and am eating an allergen free diet. Thanks for this! I wanted to make rice krispy treats for a get together and needed to find a butter substitute, this sounds great! And now they make gluten free rice krispies, I found them at the grocery store last night.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620220818900512579.post-59855382622900864182011-12-13T11:14:34.582-08:002011-12-13T11:14:34.582-08:00I'm planning to make this using Gluten Free Ri...I'm planning to make this using Gluten Free Rice Krispies. Coconut oil is amazing because it canbe cooked at high heat, used in place of butter on toast, pancakes, waffles, etc. Also, it is great for massages and the hair. It has a light flavor and blends well with most things. Fats and sugars become an issue when you don't have enough fiber and exersize to balance it out, and "sugar-free" substitutes of a favorite candy isn't helping anyone get the fiber they need. <br />Anyway, thanks for posting your findings. As for gluten-free versions, I am going to try putting cooked sprouted-brown rice in my oven at 350 on a flat cooking sheet to dry it out a bit. Make my own crispy rice and see how it goes. Might be a disaster but I am ok with thatAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620220818900512579.post-20700796939302705792010-06-19T14:57:47.399-07:002010-06-19T14:57:47.399-07:00Also, even though coconut oil is vegan, it happens...Also, even though coconut oil is vegan, it happens to be like, the worst possible oil for saturated fat content. I bought a store brand of the product, but I didn't check if it had malt. There was another brand that said, "contains wheat ingredients" so I didn't buy that one. When I get home I'll check to see if it's on this brand.Marikohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01110357429393082121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8620220818900512579.post-6367746882671704582010-05-17T07:11:27.005-07:002010-05-17T07:11:27.005-07:00Unfortunately, kellogg's rice krispies are not...Unfortunately, kellogg's rice krispies are not gluten free, as they have malt flavoring added. I have looked everywhere for a gluten free substitute, so if you found one, please share!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
