Chocolate Covered...

This week we've been reading  Froggy's Halloween.  Froggy has a terrible time deciding what he will wear for Halloween. Then he has a terrible time trick-or-treating and ends up loosing all his candy. All ends well when he gets home to find a bowl full of chocolate covered flies. My 3 year old thinks it's the funniest thing in the world so yesterday we tried a couple chocolate covered things ourselves.

The strawberry I knew he would like. He's a huge fan of cheese and carrots but will not touch zucchini to save his life. I put all 4 things on sticks and microwaved a handful of chocolate chips for a minute until it was melted and had him dip the different ingredients into the chocolate. He had so much fun and even ate the zucchini.

His favorite were the chocolate covered baby carrots and ended up eating at least 10 of them. He loves baby carrots so it's no surprise. Try doing this with your kids. Pick a few ingredients that they like and a few that they may not like so much and cover it in chocolate. What wouldn't they eat covered in chocolate?
